MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION:
* MPI, it’s directors, employees, and/or any event location are not responsible for any injury, illness, property damage or loss.
* MPI retains the right to add or delete days to any event, as well as change event location and/or date, due to unexpected complications.
* All MPI event participants must perform on their assigned days and times.
* MPI will make every effort to avoid costume change conflicts. On each entry form please mark in “Multiple Entry” column for each participant performing more than once.
* Studios/Schools will be notified at least one week in advance of event date as to their itinerary.
* Coaching, during performances, is NOT allowed! NOTE: This will be enforced by a 10 point deduction.
* Failure to display respectful behavior could result in immediate disqualification.
* Excessive profanity and/or vulgarity will not be tolerated at any time during any MPI event! This includes inappropriate costuming and/or choreography. Please use age appropriate material out of respect for yourself and others. MPI may stop the music and disqualify any entry deemed too suggestive and/or offensive, by the judging panel.
* Wearing of Studio Name and/or Attire by anyone is strictly prohibited while on stage at anytime – NOTE: This will be enforced by a 5 point deduction.
* Infraction(s) of any MPI rules & guidelines may result in penalites ranging from point deduction(s) to disqualification.
* MPI will not be responsible for returning music, photos, score sheets, etc. that are not picked up at shows’ end.

MUSIC: Record one song per compact disc. Label each with entry number, studio letter code and the word “on” or “off” to indicate whether performers are onstage or offstage when music begins. Even with today’s advanced technologies, please have back-up music of each routine on hand. Apple iPods also accepted with Marvonna’s act # before song name.

FOR VOCALISTS: Soundtracks may be used. Background vocals are allowed only during the chorus. A maximum of 3 microphones will be provided for performance use. Participants are not allowed to use any other microphones or sound equipment other than what is provided by MPI. NOTE: A 5 point deduction will be assessed, if the rules of accompaniment are not followed.

ENTRY METHODS: You may choose one of the following:
• Enter online at: www.marvonna.com. Online Entry Incentive: Completed online entries totaling $200 or more will receive a 10% rebate check at the show. To qualify, online entries must be complete and paid in full by the chosen show's entry deadline.
• Mail the included standard entry form (one form per routine)
• Download from our website and mail the time-saving “Multi-Act One-Page Entry Form” (up to 10 routines per form). Mailed entries must be postmarked by the chosen show's entry deadline. Entry fees are not refundable.

EARLY ENTRY INCENTIVE: Completed mailed entries totaling $200 or more will receive a 10% rebate check at the show. To qualify, entries must be complete, paid in full and postmarked by the chosen show's Early Incentive deadline. Entry fees are not refundable. The entry deadline is necessary to coordinate a smooth, entertaining and successful show.

* Entries will not be processed without full payment.
* MPI cannot accept entries by phone.
* Each participant under the age of 18 must provide one parent/legal guardian release signature in order to perform. Those over 18 may sign for themselves.
* Upon entry, participants give their permission to MPI to use their likeness/photographs for promotional material.
* All entries other than solos, must average their ages. (Age as of show date.)
NOTE: If the average ends with a decimal point, please drop. For example: 12.7 would be 12.
* Please have proof of age (birth certificate, driver's license, etc.) on hand, should any questions arise.

PAYMENTS: Full payment at the time of entry, whether online or mailed, should be in the form of a single studio/school check, cashiers check, Visa or Mastercard or money order payable to Marvonna Productions, Inc. for the total sum of all entries submitted by the studio or school. * A $20.00 charge will be assessed for each returned check.

PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEO: Video taping and photography of any kind is strictly prohibited. USE OF ANY TYPE OF CAMERA is NOT ALLOWED during performances. This is mandatory for the protection of our participants’ identities and for the studios’ choreographic rights. In the event that we will be unable to provide video sales, ONE video camera per studio will be allowed to film their studio’s routines only.

JUDGING: MPI participants will be judged by a panel of impartial, knowledgeable judges, and agree to accept judge’s decisions as FINAL.
* Upon entry, participants & instructors agree to abide by criteria, guidelines and the method of adjudication established by MPI.

RULES & GUIDELINES FOR FINALS

Please refer to our regional brochure for a complete list of Rules and Guidelines. Finals will include the following exceptions and additions:

Remember to update all your studio's music with the assigned act numbers for Marvonna Finals. Make certain any other numbers are clearly marked through.

Those who qualify with a rating award at a 2010 regional competition are eligible to compete at 2010 Finals.

Please enter appropriate age division corresponding with dates of Finals.

Routines must enter the same level at Finals that they were awarded at Regionals. Refining a routine is a given, however, major changes in choreography, affecting the level entered, are not allowed.

Participants qualifying at regionals are eligible to compete at finals.
Substitutions or additions are allowed with a majority of the group remaining the same.
